New interview added to the CBRS launch report: Mansoor Hanif, Ex-CTO at Ofcom talks about a new spectrum-sharing framework in the UK that – similarly to Citizen Broadband Radio Services (CBRS) – will improve wireless connectivity in the enterprise and in underserved areas. And the Ofcom new approach to spectrum sharing promises to make both mobile operators and their subscribers happy, too. 
Autonomous networks

5G brings more capacity, lower latency, better performance, but also makes wireless networks more complex. Automation, AI and ML can help us manage and benefit from this complexity and eventually make wireless networks autonomous. This requires a new underlying architecture and a gradual evolution from manual to autonomous networks.
Who will build and pay for the edge?

There is broad industry consensus on the need and value of the edge, but it is still uncertain how the move to distributed networks will unfold, especially in the enterprise, alongside the rise of IoT and private networks. Who will build and pay for the edge infrastructure?  Both the enterprise and service providers may try to position themselves to dominate the edge infrastructure, but it is more likely, more efficient and cost effective for them to share the helm of the edge and build new and deeper working and financial relationships than they have been able to do until now.
