Who will build and pay for the edge?
December 18, 2019
There is broad industry consensus on the need and value of the edge, but it is still uncertain how the move to distributed networks will unfold, especially in the enterprise, alongside the rise of IoT and private networks. Who will build and pay for the edge infrastructure? Both the enterprise and service providers may try to position themselves to dominate the edge infrastructure, but it is more likely, more efficient and cost effective for them to share the helm of the edge and build new and deeper working and financial relationships than they have been able to do until now.
CBRS: Learning to listen to the enterprise
December 11, 2019
CBRS gives the enterprise the opportunity to move beyond Wi-Fi and increase the depth and width of their wireless infrastructure. For CBRS to succeed, the ecosystem has to develop solutions that meet the enterprise’s needs, culture, and expectations. I talked with Caroline Chan at Intel, about how we can learn more from the enterprise and how this can help the ecosystem fine tune how to work with the enterprise.
