Aura uses the Wi-Fi signal to detect motion in indoor environments and it applies Cognitive Systems’ RF sensing technology, algorithms, AI and machine learning to infer and localize the sources of motion, such as people, pets, and ceiling fans.

In smart homes, Aura recruits Wi-Fi APs and devices to generate motion awareness and context to support IoT use cases, such as home monitoring, energy management and a diversity of remote monitoring applications.

Aura works with all standard Wi-Fi equipment, in single APs as well as mesh topologies. APs require Aura WiFi Motion software to detect motion, but can leverage off-the-shelf non-Aura clients to increase accuracy with Cognitive Systems’ Leaf technology.
