Localized spectrum sharing to improve in-building and rural connectivity in the UK

Read the interview

I talked to Mansoor Hanif, when he was Chief Technology Officer at Ofcom, the UK telecom regulator, during the TIP Summit in Amsterdam in November 2019, where Mansoor was a keynote speaker. Mansoor is now the Executive Director of Technology & Digital Infrastructure, at NEOM.

We talked about a new spectrum licensing framework in the UK that – similarly to Citizen Broadband Radio Services (CBRS) – will improve wireless connectivity in the enterprise and in underserved areas. And the Ofcom new approach to spectrum sharing promises to make both mobile operators and their subscribers happy, too.

This interview is now included in our latest report on CBRS, which you can download here.
